Nearly 60 years ago, my grandma, Carol Mishell, worked as a nurse flight attendant for United Airlines. In this podcast, she compares her experiences as a stewardess during the 1960s to present time stewardess, and other observations about the airlines and requirements for women. She allows the listeners to remember a time when televisions did not exist on the back of every airplane seat, and when flying always included an “element of excitement.” Grace Drawer reports.
